You have already learned much about “what God is like?” There is much more:

The Bible reveals that God, in His generosity and love, made human beings for friendship with Him. Hear His invitation to us from the Bible. It is not about literal food and drink, but about a relationship with Him:

Is anyone thirsty?

Come and drink—
even if you have no money!
Come, take your choice of wine or milk—
it’s all free!
Why spend your money on food that does
not give you strength?
Why pay for food that does you no good?
Listen to me, and you will eat what is good.
You will enjoy the finest food.
Come to me with your ears wide open.
Listen, and you will find life.” (Isaiah 55:1-3)

Obviously, then, the God of the Bible is Someone who speaks to us. The Bible is His special Message to us to tell us about Himself and about how we should live.

Because His compassion extends to all people, especially the weak and the oppressed, He requires that we treat our fellow human beings with respect, kindness, and fairness. He not only condemns the various ways we injure one another, He has made a way to change our hearts so that we treat one another better. God wants the best—His very best—for each of us. If we pray and seek God with all our heart, He will reveal Himself to us. As the Bible says, God “rewards those who sincerely seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).
